A personal learning list, shared by request

Sometimes people ask me if I have book, film, or resource recommendations about St. Paul Island or the Pribilof Islands. It is a small place, but the story here is anything but small. To learn about the island is first to recognize the families, memories, language, and lives rooted here, along with the many layers of fur seal history, World War II evacuation, natural history, wildlife, geology, and everyday life in the Bering Sea.

No single book, film, website, or report can portray St. Paul Island. These are simply resources that have helped me learn more, or that I am keeping on my own list as I continue learning. I share them with respect for the people whose families, language, memories, and lives are rooted here.
